Metin A. Erozu was born in Ankara on the third of October in 1935. He completed his primary and secondary school education in Ankara. 1953 began his studies at Istanbul Technical University’s faculty of Architecture. He attended design classes by professors such as Paul Bonatz, Mukbil Gokdogan, Kemali Soylemezoglu, Kemal AhmetAru, Emin Onat and Rolf Gutbrot. His graduation project was successfully completed in the year 1959.

In the same year he got an invitation from the Architekturburo Schlegtendal in Germany, later in an architectural office in Nurnberg, where he had an internship during his studies. Meanwhile he worked as a design architect. At that time he took part on the architectural competitions as well as several large scale projects.

In 1961 he worked for another Architekturburo Harald Loebermann in Nurnberg, where he worked as a design architect until 1966.During two-year military service at the building authority of western Turkey, he was involved in direction of restoration and extension work at several historical barracks.
